About this project
The Digital Workshop System (DWS) is the central orchestration layer for Perodua's service centre operations — replacing physical whiteboards, paper checklists, and disconnected vendor platforms with a unified real-time system. Advisory Apps designed and built the platform end-to-end, integrating 7 vendor systems across 20+ endpoints (FTP, REST, WebSocket) while coordinating 47+ connected devices: ANPR cameras, technician tablets, ANDON displays, VIP boards, and the E-JPCB interactive job planning board on the workshop floor.

ANPR Vehicle Recognition
AI-powered cameras detect vehicle plates on arrival, match against the appointment list, and trigger the welcome and bay-assignment workflow automatically.
E-JPCB Interactive Job Board
Drag-and-drop digital job planning board on a workshop-floor TV — colour-coded service types, real-time bay status, and automatic technician allocation replacing the physical whiteboard.
Service Technician Tablet App
Ruggedised tablet app with digital inspection checklists, repair-order viewing, parts confirmation, clock-in/clock-out, and QC submission — fully paperless.
Customer ANDON Display
Large-screen display showing live job progress percentages, queue positions, and estimated completion times so waiting customers can track their vehicle in real time.
VIP Appointment Board
Digital lobby display listing next-day appointments with arrival status, service type, and assigned advisor — updated instantly via ANPR triggers.
Multi-Protocol Integration Hub
FTP for nightly master-data sync, REST APIs for transactional flows, and WebSocket for live device updates — orchestrated through a single integration layer.
Real-Time Device Orchestration
WebSocket-powered event bus pushes live updates to 47+ tablets, displays, and kiosks simultaneously from a single event source.
Paperless Workshop Operations
Every job card, inspection checklist, repair order, and QC report is fully digital — eliminating transcription errors and giving floor managers real-time visibility.
