What happens if the project goes over the deadline?
Deadline overruns are managed proactively, not reactively. Our Agile sprint model gives us visibility into project velocity from the first sprint, so we can predict timeline risks weeks in advance rather than discovering them at the finish line.
How We Prevent Overruns
- Velocity tracking: We measure how much work the team completes per sprint. If velocity drops below what is needed to hit the deadline, we flag it immediately.
- Burndown charts: Both you and the team can see whether the project is on track at any point. No guesswork.
- Buffer sprints: For fixed-deadline projects, we build 1–2 buffer sprints into the timeline to absorb unexpected complexity.
- Scope management: Features are prioritised so that if time runs short, lower-priority items are deferred — not critical functionality.
If a Delay Happens
Despite best planning, delays can occur due to scope changes, third-party API delays, or unforeseen technical challenges. Here is how we handle it:
Option 1 — Re-Prioritise Scope
We identify features that can be moved to a post-launch phase. This lets you hit your deadline with core functionality and add enhancements after launch. Most of our 200+ projects have used phased delivery successfully.
Option 2 — Add Resources
If the scope cannot be reduced, we can assign additional developers to accelerate delivery. We provide a clear cost estimate before making any staffing changes.
Option 3 — Extend the Timeline
For projects where scope and quality cannot be compromised, we negotiate a revised timeline. You receive an updated project plan with the new delivery date and any cost implications.
Contractual Protections
Our project agreements include clear milestones, acceptance criteria, and escalation procedures. If a delay is caused by our team, we absorb the cost of additional resources needed to recover the timeline. We do not penalise clients for delays caused by our side.

How long does it take to build a custom app?
Typically 3 to 9 months. A focused app takes 8–12 weeks; complex apps with payment systems, integrations, and admin dashboards take 6–9 months or more.
Process & TimelineCan I change requirements during development?
Yes. Our Agile sprint model is designed for change. New requirements are added to the backlog, prioritised in the next sprint planning session, and built without disrupting work already in progress.
Process & TimelineDo you use Agile or Waterfall methodology?
Agile. We run 2-week sprints with planning, daily standups, sprint demos, and retrospectives. This gives you working software every two weeks instead of waiting months for a final delivery.
